I rather appreciate your perspectives, though I was wondering (apart from observation, newspapers, etc.) where you get your information, if you have any ‘recommended reading’ or resources I may look for my own mental-self-disembowelment.

Thanks for your comment. I read voraciously about issues relating to finance, business, world events, and politics. The Wall Street Journal is a favorite newspaper, Barron’s, and sometimes The New York Times (although I try to limit this one).

I also read and subscribe to a number of private investment news letters that contain a lot of information on investment and world events. I watch CNBC and Bloomberg television business news programs and get a lot of information from those also.

Glad to hear you enjoy the stories I present. Please sign up to get e-mail alerts to future posts in the upper right-hand corner of the first page of the Blog.

  2. Ben Harries says:

No wonder you think Romney’s record at Bain was stellar. You too have lived your life guzzling at the capitalist feed-trough.

Maybe if you had no vested interest, your attitude about capitalism would be a little bit different. Maybe not.

    • Greg Roukema says:

Regardless of my background, whether you recognize it or not we all have a vested interest in the success of capitalism if you live in America (I assume you live in America?). I know from direct experience in the business that Bain enjoys a sterling reputation. This cannot be said for all private equity firms and at least part of the credit for that goes to Romney’s leadership. What line of work are you in that you hate capitalism so much?

        Mr Roukema:

I love that question for Mr. Harries!! I don’t think he is in a line of work, he is probably one of the 50% who don’t pay any taxes and live off the fruits of YOUR labor. Please continue to write great blogs, so you can continue to educate Americans and so that God can continue to bless America. We need to save ourselves from the welfare state that will be on our horizon if we get four more years of this Capitalism hating, race baiting, PresiDONT of AmeriCANT!
